Convexia walked through the spooky path in Everfree Forest. It wasn't as scary as it was when she was little, she had gotten used to it. She had gotten used to the dead trees, the eerie sounds, the mud, everything. None of it was new to Convexia, until she got to the end of the forest, and the beiginning of Ponyville. She had never been there, not that she could remember. She had no friends from there, and everytime she tried to walk in she was drove out because of everything she [and her mother] had done. She closed her eyes and sighed.
She was shunned and overlooked because of her mother.... She opened her eyes and stopped when she saw she was right at the edge of the forest. It was so bright here, so bright from here on out. The sun made it hard for her to see... she was so used to the darkness in the Everfree Forest. She sighed, no use trying to sneak in, she knew she would get spotted. She was pretty good with stealth, but there was to many ponies around, somepony would always spot her no matter how good she was hiding.
Time to head back... She thought. She nodded, as if responding a 'yes' to her thoughts, then turned around and started her way back. It was a long walk back to her home, she was sure to be wore out when she got home. Great, then she could have some soup and maybe a nap... Convexia liked to be more active in the night.
Bringing along a small sketchbook, a lovely blue unicorn trotted down the path through Ponyville. She had just left her workshop, and was headed toward the Everfree forest. Despite Ponyville being rather close to the forest, Sapphire had surprisingly never been there, and was mostly unaware of it's dangers. She had been told stories, of course, but they always seemed so unbelievable. Nevertheless, she continued along her way toward the dark forest.
Her hope was to gather some ideas for her next project, so she had brought along a sketchbook. It floated alongside her, while her blue horn showed a violet glow. Sapphire didn't often draw, she preferred her paints, but this time she didn't want to bring her painting easel all the way out into the forest. And if she came across anything that caused her to leave in a hurry, she would most like be forced to leave it behind, anyway. Maybe Sapphire did believe in those stories after all.
Once the forest was in sight, Sapphire gaze at it with her violet eyes. It did in fact look rather spooky, and she only hoped she could capture it perfectly when she started her painting. Nearing the dark forest, Sapphire slowed her pace ever so slightly, until she suddenly came to a stop just near the edge. This really was one spooky forest.

Convexia stopped as she heard something. No way.. She thought to herself. It can't be...not another... Her mouth dropped, this was something totally new. She was sure that she had heard someponies hoofs trotting along her very way. What should she do? She had never made contact with another pony before, what if she scared her with her looks? Her red eyes did make her seem a bit evil.
And her blue body made her look like a night pony, the ones that would lurk in the dark. What would this pony think of her? She shook her head, what was she thinking? She could just scare the pony and it would run away. After all, this WAS her territory, and she didn't like ponies being on her territory without permission. She took a deep breath and turned around, her red eyes darting around, trying to see the other pony. You might be ahead him or her, go back... She nodded. Quietly though..
She went to her left and wandered off the path and into the spooky trees. She walked slowly and quietly, being careful not to make a sound. She stood clear of branches that would snap under her hooves, and leaves that would crackle with the slightest touch. She walked through the trees until she saw a pony. She looked at the pony in awe. She was a beautiful pony.
A light blue color, with a curly tail and mane a slightly darker blue with streaks of white. She had violet eyes and a big white bow on the back of her head. Convexia's eyes wandered to her cutie mark, which was a paintbrush leving a rainbow paint trail.
She shook her head, no matter what this pony looked like she had to scare it away, be done with it all. She snuck closer and paused behind a faily large tree, hiding her completely. She smiled a sneaky grin, while waiting for the surprise attack to take action.
"Go on." Sapphire said quietly to herself, "It's not that scary." She finally placed one hoof forward, then eventually continued down the path into the forest. The only audible sound seemed to be her own hoofsteps, so Sapphire was certain she was alone. At least for now, anyway. With no idea what lurked deeper in the dark forest, she decided it would be best to stay quite and try not to attract any attention.
She was really only sightseeing for now. If Sapphire found something that caught her attention, she might come back with her painting easel. Her sketchbook still floated in front of her, and she would sometimes move it from side to side as she gazed at her surroundings. Her curly mane and tail also bounced slightly as she walked around a bit of mud that she had spotted.
"Is there nothing out here to make the perfect spooky painting?" The blue pony asked herself, before she opened her sketchbook and flipped to a new page. Still unsatisfied with her surroundings, Sapphire closed the book with a soft thump.
The light blue unicorn finally came to a stop next to a rather large tree, and she took a moment to gaze at it. While it was an interesting view, it wasn't what she was looking for. However, as the blue pony paused to look at the tree, she was completely unaware of the mysterious pony that hid behind it.

Perfect. Convexia smirked. Now how to scare her.. Convexia stood there for a minute, letting the female pony take in her surroundings and letting her think that she was all alone. Then she looked at one of the branches above her, to the right side of the female pony. A bluish auroa surrounded Convexia's horn as she concentrated on the branch. Then,
Oh please help me...
The treebranch broke just as Convexia lost her concentration. It made a loud noise when it landed on the ground beside both her and the pony.
"Now? Of all the times?!" She said aloud angrily on accident.
She clamped her mouth shut, realizing that she just talked, probably giving away her location behind the tree.
Convexia didn't answer, she stayed frozen to the spot.
Please help me...will you be so kind and let me rest peacefully?
Convexia gritted her teeth.
"SHUT UP!" She yelled, bursting out angrily. "JUST SHUT UP!!"
She stepped out from behind the tree and looked around angrily.
"Oh thats right! I can't see you!" She said, very irritated.
She sighed then looked at the pony. "Err..." She began but was at a loss of words. "I..." She let out a deep breath. "I don't know....." She looked down at the ground. "I don't know anymore..."
As Sapphire looked at the tree, she had finally decided to move along farther down the path. Just as she began to turn, she jump as she was startled when the branch suddenly fell, and was followed by a yell. Dropping her sketchbook, she watched as it hit the ground with a soft thud. At first Sapphire thought the tree had spoken, and she looked at it with a curious gaze.
When the yell came again, the light blue pony began to peek behind the tree, but nearly jumped again when an angry looking pony stepped out from behind it. She was speechless as she examined the blue pony, and it was her red eyes that immediately caught her attention. Eventually, Sapphire let her gaze wander over to the pony's wings. She had certainly never seen wings like those before.
"You scared me!" Sapphire said to the young pony, as she was reminded of her sketchbook that was still lying on the ground. Her horn glowed once more as she picked it up again, and was unhappy to find that it now had a bit of dirt on one side.
"What are you doing in a place like this?" Sapphire wondered why she hadn't seen this pony around Ponyville before. She would certainly remember if she had, the young pony had a rather... intimidating appearance. It certainly made Sapphire a bit uncomfortable.

She rubbed the side of her head with her hoof.
"You know, I was never good with introductions....maybe because I've never really met another pony before..." She shook her head. "I know I scared you, that was the plan exactly. Although you didn't run away. I'm sorry... I just don't know how to deal with company--"
Please help me..
"UGHH!" She yelled. "JUST SHUT UP!!"
She sighed. "I live here. I've lived here as long as I've known. Let me guess, your a little town girl, it looks like it from your appearance. Yes your very pretty but you look way to proper." She said looking her up and down. "Yes, I'm very intimidating, especially with my red eyes, don't stare at me like that!" She growled. "It's not my fault I look evil..." She looked away.
Please...help me...I can't rest in peace without your help...
"I wish you would stop! I wish you would all stop! Why can't I have any peace!? Why do you torture me so!? Well, I can tell you right now, GO FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO HELP YOU!" She was really angry, as you can tell.
Your my only hope...
"Ughh, thats right.." Groaned Convexia. "I'm so 'special' with my cutie mark and my talent aren't I?"
She looked back at the pony. "Are you O.K.?" She asked, feeling a bit guilty about scaring this pony.
"Never met another pony?" Sapphire asked, appalled. Had this pony been living under a rock all their life? She decided to stay quiet and let the pony talk, eager for her to explain. She soon wondered if the pony was crazy, and she felt her suspicions were confirmed when the pony yelled again.
"Too proper?" The light blue pony said, "And you shouldn't make such assumptions. It sounds like you have been hurt by them yourself." She examined the pony once again, frowning when she was told to stop looking at her like that.
"No, no, I was only admiring your wings. And who on earth are you talking to?" Her gaze wandered over to the pony's cutie mark, and she almost let out a gasp. What was this pony's special talent?
Sapphire hadn't answered her question asking if she was fine. She was, of course, she just had too many questions for this pony. How could someone live in a forest all their life? It would have been too lonely for Sapphire, and she even spends most of her time in her workshop, anyway.

"Nope, only my mother..." She trailed off, not wanting to share anything about her mother or her past. "Who I'm talking to? Err, its hard to explain.." Convexia looked away. "Probably to complicated for you to understand anyways..." Trying to hold back a laugh didn't work out, and she ended up making a funny noise, clearly showing she was about to laugh.
Convexia watched the female ponies eyes wonder to her cutie mark, the skull and crossbones, and gasp.
"Yea.." She said. "Be afraid!" She laughed lightly. "This cutie mark and my talent drives me nuts. I'd trade with you in a second..you know that pretty pony?" She took a step forward intimidatingly. "Are you afraid?" She looked the pony in her violet eyes with her own blood red eyes.
"Anyways, what is a pretty city girl like you doing in a spooky place like this?" She smirked. "What are you doing in my territory?"
Sapphire looked at the pony with a curious gaze when she made the funny noise, knowing that she had tried to hold back a laugh. Still convinced that this pony was insane, she frowned when the pony said that she probably wouldn't understand. She smiled a bit and said, "It does show that you haven't met many ponies."
When the young pony took a step closer and looked into her eyes, Sapphire let out a small giggle. Being slightly taller than the pony, she leaned forward and stared back into the pony's eyes. "Hmm.. should I be?"
"Your territory?" Sapphire asked the pony, "A young pony like you should have to live in a place like this. Don't you have anywhere to go?" She looked to her sketchbook, which still floated next to her, then looked back to the young pony. "I came here in search of inspiration for my paintings. I usually paint sunny landscapes and clouds, so I thought something spooky would make a nice change."

Convexia looked around.
"I'LL HELP YOU!" Yelled Convexia irritated.
"I don't know! Just give me a while ok! It's not all about you!" She said.
"Why won't they rest peacefully?" She mumbled so low no one should be able to hear her. "Why do I have to be the one that hears voices of the dead? It's so stupid...I'm not special at all...every spirit treats me like I am..." She rolled her eyes. "Ohh please help me! I can't rest in peace without you! Tell him what happened to me! Save my pet bird!" She mimicked. "Ugh! It's all so old, I'm sick of it!"
She shook her head in frustration and looked at the pony. "Whats your name?" She asked in a harsh kind of tone.
"Why on Earth are you yelling?" This pony must have been tortured, living alone in the forest all her life. Sapphire still could not imagine such a thing. She often needed her privacy when she painted, but she could not go that long without a friend. Not to mention this pony was still young. Sapphire couldn't help but feel a bit of pity for her.
When asked for her name, she responded with "Sapphire." Fitting, for she was a lovely blue pony. Maybe it also fit because of all the time she spent painting pictures of the sky, always with her head in the clouds, as her mother had said. Sapphire really wished she could fly, and the thought brought her gaze back to the other pony's wings.
"My name's Convexia. It's such a pleasure to meet you!" She said sarcastically, rolling her eyes. "Pfft, whatever....."
Are you really evil? Convexia looked down. Why are you treating this pony like this? She did nothing to you!"Shut up!" She snarled at her own thoughts. "You don't know anything about evil! I might be evil, or I might not Who knows! I'm treating this pretty pony like this because...because..." She struggled for the words. "Because I've never made contact with another pony before.." She finally said.
Convexia saw Sapphire's eyes go to her wings again, then realized she didn't have wings herself.
"Hey, where are your wings?" She asked.
Since Convexia and her mother had wings, she had always thought everypony had wings.
"You just need practice." Sapphire didn't really know how it must have felt meeting another pony for the first time. She grew up in Ponyville, a close community where she met many ponies while growing up. It just seemed natural to meet new ponies and make new friends, but she'd never met a pony quite like this one before.
"You don't exactly seem evil to me.." If this pony truly was evil, they wouldn't be able to have their somewhat civil conversation. The red eyes and the unique wings, however, didn't exactly help. "You just.. don't know how to react to meeting someone new."
When asked about where her own wings were, Sapphire's eyes wandered to her bare, light blue side. "Oh, I'm a unicorn. We don't have wings." Looking back to Convexia, she added, "You are a very lucky pony to have wings and a horn. That's quite rare. If given the choice, though, I'd take wings instead of my horn."
She looked to her sketchbook, which glowed violet due to her magic that held it up. "I've heard of spells that can grant a pony wings for a short time, but I don't have much experience with magic. Spells have always been quite hard for me; I prefer to paint."

"Hm....I thought all ponies had wings and horn..." Said Convexia. Convexia looked at Sapphire's cutie mark again. "So, your special talent is painting huh?" She asked. "I'd trade with you anyday." She sighed.
Please help me...
"I SAID SHUT UP!!!!" She yelled so loud that a flock of birds in a tree scattered away from somewhere. "Seriously! You guys are stalkers, not to mention annoying! You appear out of nowhere!" She growled.
I really need you...
"I really need you." She mimiced. "Pfft, you don't need me you WANT ME!! You just want to rest 'peacefully'! WHAT IS IT YOU NEED HELP WITH ANYWAY!?!"
I died saving him...he was unconcious when I died....he thinks I left him to die....
"How do you want me to tell him? 'Um excuse me, your love died for you when you was unconcious!' like he'll believe me! He'll think its a trap!"
He's very understanding...he'll believe you...
"I'll tell him later, I'm dealing with a situation right now." Convexia snarled. She looked back at Sapphire. "Your still here?" She asked. "I figured you'd run by now....they usually do when they see me....I thought you'd be gone soon...." She rolled her eyes. "Just like a city girl...to curious....your going to get in trouble some day." She looked at Sapphire.
